      Not much too add really. It was damaged in I think 1709 and restored in the 19th century. You will note positioned behind the statue a cloak of ermine which might imply the sovereignty of Death over men. Only in this case the cloak is always beyond his reach. Why, because Our Lord conquered the reign of Death forever. Still it is a unique type of Memento Mori.
